HR People & Strategy (HRPS), is a strategically focused, ground-breaking network of influential HR executives and innovative HRM professionals representing the world's most prominent organizations. 2012 marks the 35th anniversary of HRPS and today, HRPS is regarded by many as the premiere professional organization focused on the intersection of people and strategy. Chartered in 1977 as the Human Resource Planning Society, the founders rallied around their desire for an association that would bring people together who were interested in advancing the science and art of human resource management. They were --as they are today -- HR professionals, leading academics and trusted advisers. The implied goal was to help people acquire the knowledge and credibility required to play a key role in the design and execution of organizational strategy.

From the start, HRPS was known for attracting top talent to its conferences and workshops. The combination of thought-provoking speakers and educators, coupled with practical lessons from HR executives and experienced consultants, differentiated the society. Various forums provide opportunities for small group discussions and debates on areas of critical interest to the profession. At these events, and within the HRPS sponsored blogs and discussion groups, all views are welcome. Unlike other professional associations, HRPS has never taken a public stand on any political agenda or piece of legislation. This allows for a diversity of opinion and a level of civility that is refreshing.

The Organization Development Network (ODNET), grounded in humanistic values, convenes and equips practitioners, leaders, and academicians to resolve critical corporate, governmental, and social justice priorities with leading edge practice and theory from multiple disciplines. ODNET leads advances in the practice and theory of Organization Development that result in healthy, effective organizations and a healthy planet. They do this through the advancement of leading edge theories to address business and societal needs, providing access to theory and practice to their members, publishing leading edge practice, supporting the global practice and awareness of Organizational Development, and being a viable network of global members who are practitioners, academicians, and leaders in Organizational Development.
